The year before his rating was 95, four points up from his 91 overall in "2K21."Joining Embiid in the 96 group will be LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Nikola Jokic. The overall score is 97. Giannis Antetokounmpo has the highest rating of any player in the game.

 I'm not worried about 2K ratings. But these do look quite accurate, generally. I'd put Ja Morant with a point, or two lower than Jayson Tatum as well as Jimmy Butler, yet that's an issue. The majority of the time, these numbers reflect the current situation of the NBA, from my perspective -- at least in the 11 players shown above.

 A year ago, Embiid finished runner-up in the MVP race behind Jokic for the second straight year. The 28-year-old was a league leader with 30.6 points per game (61.6 percent true shooting), 11.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.1 steals.
