While EA rectified the error around 25 minutes after FIFA 23 Coins releasing the pack, it didn't prevent millions of coins in value from being removed from FIFA Ultimate Team in the event that players had to sell their FUT Hero items in a fearful manner, because of the enormous influx of stock.

FUT Hero items are very scarce players that can be found within certain packs in Ultimate Team. FUT Hero cards are offered to players who have been a major contributor to an organisation or have become the cult hero like former Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung.

Due to their incredibly rare nature, they can be quite expensive due to their extremely high value on FIFA 23 Ultimate team's online transfer marketplace with some items such as Yaya Toure selling to 1.9 millions FUT coins, which a prominent third-party website selling coins values at just below PS400.

It was later discovered that EA mistakenly released this pack, flooding the market with a huge quantity of the item and saw the costs drop quickly, with some losing more than 1.25 million coins in value, which is around PS200 when bought by a third party.

EA has yet to provide a response on the error. The damage to the market is lasting. Most, if , not all players have lost value and even though the market gained some momentum following the elimination of the pack and the in turn, the lack of FUT 23 Coins buy supplies in FUT Hero items, the loss of coins will not be able to be reversed.
