New World quests for players to complete from Marcia Johnson's blog

In the wake of its successful testing on the New World Public Test Realm (PTR) earlier in the month, the new world gold Festival has now been made available on all live servers.

For the vast majority of players, this will be their first opportunity to participate in the winter festivities of New World. With the New World US East Frislandia Coins Festival starting today (December 16) and running through the 11th of January, fans will have plenty of time to check out what's new in the MMO.

The Winter Wanderer – a giant yeti – will accept Winter Tokens that players have collected from various events throughout Aeternum as part of the event's festivities. These can be used to make purchases from a temporary holiday shop that specializes in "rare and cosmetic items."During the event, players will also be able to unlock "new armours, weapons, furnishings, skins, consumables, and a delightful "present gifting" emote," among other things. Gleamite Meteors are a new event that is only available at night. They'll spawn by falling from the sky with a loud crash (which will be difficult to miss if you're in the vicinity, as it can be heard from up to 200+ meters away) and erupting in a bright flash of light after landing. Each Meteor Landing will result in the creation of a small number of Gleamite Chunks and a large number of Gleamite Shards.

You can obtain 15 Gleamite and 25 Event Reputation for collecting Gleamite Chunks with a Pickaxe, while a single Gleamite and 5 Event Reputation can be obtained by collecting shards. If no one else is collecting meteors, you can expect to receive approximately 75 Gleamite per meteor. Try to get as many Chunks as you can before grabbing any Shards, especially if the battle is close.

They can be traded in at Winter Huts in Winter Villages at a rate of 10 Gleamite for 1 Winter Token, similar to how Lost presents can be traded in. For 2 Bew World - Winter Token tokens each, you can purchase special food that increases a stat of your choice while also doubling your Gleamite gathered for the duration of the session. This can result in a single Gleamite Meteor being worth 150 Gleamite, which is equal to 15 tokens.

The Tree of Light is a symbol of hope.

A Tree of Light can be found in every settlement, usually in place of existing fountains or statues, and it can be found in every settlement. These also have gifts underneath them that vary depending on which tier of the Tree you are on. Collecting these gifts from the tree also results in a daily bonus to your reputation with the Winter Wanderer, which you can use to buy more presents. If you have the time and Azoth to spare, these will be the most significant daily source of reputation gain, awarding up to 1650 reputation if all territories reach the maximum level of their Tree of Light.

The first three Trees of Light you collect will also come with some additional bonuses, awarding you with a Diamond Gypsum as well as a Lockbox containing 100 Coins in each of their respective presents. Expertise Gypsum and Diamond Gypsum are both part of the newly reworked Expertise System, which was also released with Patch 1.2. In addition to the gift and lockbox rewards, the first three Tree of Light visits will have a small chance of rewarding a Winter Convergence Festival Weapon or Armor Pattern, which will be added to your collection. To commemorate the Winter Convergence, players can also complete some festive Town Projects, which will result in settlements upgrading their holiday decorations – as well as some thank-you gifts for those who assist in the project – and some appreciative gifts for those who do not.

Those who venture outside of the safety of the settlements will encounter Frigid Folk, who must be approached and rescued. In exchange for Winter Tokens, these misplaced presents can be returned to any of the Winter Village Holiday Huts located throughout Aeternum. It's also possible to find new Ice Caves popping up all over the map, and Amazon Game Studios has confirmed that they will remain in New World after the Winter Convergence Festival concludes.

New dynamic event – Gleamite Showers – has a chance of occurring during the festivities, with the possibility of occurring during the night. Winter Tokens can be obtained by harvesting crystals, which can then be exchanged for even more Winter Tokens. Finally, there are seven new US East Omeyocan Coins quests for players to complete as part of the buy NW gold. These can be started with a level 25 character, but it will take a level 60 character to complete them all in one sitting.

With a Forlorn Gift Pile, which grants 50 Reputation with the Winter Wanderer, and a Hastily Wrapped Present on Tier 1 of the Tree of Light, players can begin their journey. Opening this present will result in the awarding of one Winter token. Obtaining all 11 of these will earn you a total of 550 Reputation points for the event. In Tier 2 of the Tree of Light, there is a Magnificent Gift Pile, which grants 100 Reputation with the Winter Wanderer in exchange for a Beautifully Wrapped Present, and a Magnificent Gift Pile in Tier 3 of the Tree of Light. This Present contains 3 Winter Tokens and has a chance to also contain 1 Premium Winter Token if it is opened by the recipient. You will receive 1100 Reputation points for collecting all 11 of these items at this tier in this competition. The Exquisite Gift Pile on Tier 3 of the Tree of Light, which awards you 150 Reputation with the Winter Wanderer and an Exquisitely Wrapped Present, is the final tier of the Tree of Light and is the final tier of the Tree of Light. It is possible that this Present will contain a Premium Winter Token in addition to the 5 Winter Tokens. When compared to a Beautifully Wrapped Present, it has a slightly higher chance of providing a Premium Token. You will earn 1650 Reputation for the event if you collect all 11 of these items.
