Wigs and Toppers is Worth the Hype from Maurice Sidney's blog

I mentioned to y'all (I can say that now because I'm in Texas...) at the start of the year that I'd like to start featuring some of my readers' stories on my blog.

While I was trying to figure out why I was losing my hair, I was also looking for ways to conceal the thinning. In the past two years, I've experimented with everything from hair fibers (Toppik looked like sawdust in my hair, although Caboki was better), Bumble & Bumble Dry Shampoo (which was a godsend, thank you Lauren! ), toppers, wigs, and extensions.

Needless to say, I've been extremely self-conscious about my hair.

If you don't look good, you don't feel good.

Real wigs with glamorous terrified me because I knew people would be on the lookout for me if I was wearing one (what if it falls off or someone pulls it off?!?!). Because I still had a good amount of hair at this point, I decided to try extensions instead, primarily because they are considered more "acceptable" by society. I had a HORRIBLE weave done at first because I was trying to save money, but it backfired. After the first day, it itched like crazy and looked horribly bad; my thin hair couldn't keep the tracks hidden, and you could see them everywhere. I ended up attempting to remove it myself with pliers and causing significant damage before returning to the salon and having the stylist remove them.

After wasting a lot of money on products that didn't work for me, I decided to spend the money on an Honesthairfactory toppette.

Most people who suffer from hair loss have probably heard of Honesthairfactory, which is marketed as "the best supplemental hair on the market."It makes me sick to think about how much money I wasted (I could have used the money to buy a car), but I also have a very bad habit of being able to justify almost anything I do. My justification for doing this was that it could potentially give me back my life, and how can you put a monetary value on that?

However, I was not let down. The exact opposite is true!

Even to my meticulous, ridiculously self-conscious eyes, my Honesthairfactory appears to be extremely realistic. I had to dye my hair to match the piece (which actually plumped up my hair and made it appear much thicker). This is something I will continue to do in the future).
