Mmoexp Elden Ring Items: Adjust Your Buffs and Healing Strategy from Rozemondbell's blog

3. Adjust Your Buffs and Healing Strategy

During the second phase, your buffs and healing strategy must also adapt to the boss’s new strengths or weaknesses.

Offensive Buffs:

Reapply Offensive Buffs: If your buffs were time-limited, you’ll need to reapply them at the start of the second phase. Buffs like Flame, Grant Me Strength or Golden Vow should be reapplied to Elden Ring Items give you the offensive advantage you need. If you’ve already consumed Greases or boosts (such as Fire Grease), consider switching to a different element if the boss has a new weakness.

Stay Aggressive but Smart: The second phase is often the time to push your offense and maximize damage while the boss is focused on unleashing their more powerful attacks. Aggressive but strategic attacks are key—take advantage of any stagger opportunities to maximize your damage output.

Tip: If the boss seems to enter a long wind-up for a big attack, use this time to buff, either with weapon greases or a quick Golden Vow to enhance your damage.

Defensive Buffs:

Adapt to Elemental Shifts: Some bosses change their elemental focus in their second phase, so you’ll need to apply the proper defensive buffs accordingly. If a boss starts using fire-based or magic-based attacks in phase two, apply Barrier of Gold or Flame, Protect Me to mitigate damage.

Consider Healing Buffs: If the second phase introduces heavier damage or AoE, you might want to switch to healing buffs like Blessing of the Erdtree or Rejuvenating Drops to provide sustained healing while you focus on dodging. Be mindful of the boss’s attack windows, and apply healing buffs only when the boss is relatively safe to engage with.

Healing Items:

Ensure you’ve got a healthy stock of healing items (such as Flame, Protect Me, or Sacred Dew). If your FP (Focus Points) are low, consider using FP recovery items to best place to buy elden ring items keep your buffs up. Make sure you’ve also got a few Resurrection items on hand in case of a tight moment.
